You bring your body, mind, heart and spirit to your work as a Nurse Extern on our fast paced Surgery Plus Unit.
You are a student in good standing in an accredited school of nursing program having completed of a course in the fundamentals of nursing and pharmacology courses.

Your day
As a Nurse Extern on our Surgery Plus Unit, you'll never know what to expect, but you will know how to:
Respond to patient care needs by answering call lights, assisting patients with hygiene care and nourishment, obtaining vital signs, a communicating constructively, effectively and timely with members of the care team
PIV insertion, maintenance and removal
Venipuncture
Foley Catheter insertion, care and removal
Perform safe wound care
Works under the direction of a RN
Your experience
We hire people, not resumes. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:
High School diploma, or the equivalent, required
Current Montana CNA Registration, required
A student in good standing in an accredited School of Nursing program who have completed the 2nd semester junior year of a BSN program or are within one year of graduation from an ASN program, required
Completion of fundamentals of nursing and a pharmacology course, required
Completion of all clinical coursework with the exception of final/capstone course.
BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association within 60 days of hire, required
