YELLOWSTONE COUNTY TAX SUPERVISOR in BILLINGS, Montana
Yellowstone County is seeking a Tax Supervisor to manage property tax collection process for the Yellowstone County Treasurer's office and direct work in accordance to State statues; does related work as required. Examples of Duties: - Plans, organizes, directs, supervises and coordinates the clerical operations and activities of the Tax Department; - Recruits, trains, schedules, prioritizes and evaluates the work of employees in the class of Tax Specialist Assistant; - Works with the Treasurer and Cash Management Supervisor to develop employee expectations and office policies and procedures; - Confers with the Treasurer to determine administrative and technical support needs and services for the Tax Department; - Reviews state statues ensuring that all relevant laws and regulations are followed in reconciling and processing Tax Department transactions and publishing legal notices. Minimum Qualifications: - Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration or closely related field; and - Two (2) years' experience with technical accounting, collections, home mortgages, land deeds or related occupational experience; or - Any equivalent combination of education and experience totaling four (4) years. - Previous experience working with tax collections, fee processing and distribution; - Previous supervisory and/or office management experience; and Strong computer and Microsoft office skills is desired.
