C & B Operations, LLC Trucking Dispatcher in Billings, Montana


Curt Laingen Trucking, a C & B Operations Company, is looking for a full-time truck dispatcher in Billings, MT. The duties of this individual will include scheduling drivers, communicating with our store locations and customers, accommodating route changes as needed and ensuring excellent customer satisfaction and prompt delivery of agriculture equipment.


  • Communicating with customers about freight details, delivery or pickup times, and special handling requests.

  • Maintaining records of dispatched calls, driver routes, route changes, as well as delivery and pickup times.

  • Working to maintain optimum efficiency through asking good questions and reconfirmation

  • Occasionally prepare, distribute, & file various correspondence, forms, and records

  • Keeping track of transportation regulations and laws to ensure that truck drivers comply.

  • Reviewing drivers’ logs, including dispatched calls and arrival times.

  • Monitoring truck repairs and maintenance schedules.

  • Regular Hours – 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM


  • 2-3 years of experience as a truck dispatcher in a similar industry.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.

  • Considers the impact of the decisions on the entire team and the company, while demonstrating effective leadership and partnership management skills.

  • Must have good computer skills and be able to work with Microsoft office, spreadsheets, and statistical data.

  • Must love working with people and have deep respect for drivers.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to excel and stay calm in a fast-paced environment.

  • Working knowledge of DOT regulations/requirements.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.

  • Current CDL and forklift experience preferred.
