Description
The Accounting Associate is responsible for patron and company record keeping, bookkeeping, daily accuracy, and customer service for Mountain View Co-op (MVC) products and services. The Accounting Associate must maintain a positive and cooperative attitude that promotes teamwork, integrity, honesty, and helpfulness. They must embrace and exhibit MVCs philosophy and culture of safety and customer service. This position reports to the Controller.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounting:
Responsible for daily deposit input.
Responsible for monthly/yearly inventory input.
Report significant issues to supervisor as per company policy.
Monitor customer AR accounts on a regular basis.
Assist accounting department with any accounting tasks, special projects, and year-end tasks as needed.
Ensure a high level of data accuracy and integrity in all reports, communications, and projects.
Responsible for analyzing and reporting tools and making independent decisions on pricing in accordance with financial goals.
Energy:
Input and reconcile daily delivery tickets.
Establish and maintain necessary filing system.
Utilize business specific software and procedures for scheduled deliveries, work orders, and customer account information.
Assist in maintaining pricing for all Refined Fuel and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (propane) accounts, including rebrands.
General:
Establish and maintain a positive experience for MVC customers, clients, and vendors, through professional interpersonal interactions.
Greet guests in a professional, friendly manner, and direct them accordingly.
Answer incoming calls, direct calls to appropriate parties, and take messages.
Handle any customer complaints in a prompt and professional manner.
Practice and encourage workplace safety.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Excellent written and verbal communication, including phone etiquette
Excellent customer service, both internal and external
Work independently, efficiently, and handle multiple priorities.
Deal with conflict in a professional manner.
Operate a personal computer utilizing word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications appropriate to the assigned duties.
Education/Experience/Training:
High School diploma or GED
Two (2) years administrative experience
Preferred Experience:
Accounting experience
License/Certification:
Valid Drivers License issued by the State of Montana
