Electric Transmission Construction Specialist
QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
- Bachelor's Degree in construction management, engineering, or related field OR equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered
- Strong computer, interpersonal, oral and written communication
- Good organization skills and ability to handle multiple conflicting tasks and demands
- Ability to demonstrate and maintain a good safety record
- Valid Drivers License and satisfactory driving record
- Ability to travel to jobsite, up to 75% of the year, including overnight stays when necessary
- Ability to lift and carry supplies up to 35 pounds
- Ability to pass an employment physical, a drug test and a background check
- Experience in electric distribution or transmission engineering and construction preferred
- Experience with PLS-CADD, GIS systems, and survey techniques is desired
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Provide engineering support and construction management support for electric transmission projects
- Supervise transmission construction projects and oversee contract and company construction crews
- Support transmission design, engineering analysis, drawing interpretations and material acquisition
- Compile and write technical reports Work closely with customers and landowners to respond to their needs
- Assess and inspect project right away
- Assist in developing project-specific capital budgets
- Coordinate projects and liaison with local operations
- Adhere to company safety standards and the Code of Business Conduct & Ethics
- Ensure all actions are consistent with NorthWestern Energy's values, mission, and strategic business objectives
Full-time position.
$62,900 - $135,200 annually, depending on experience.
