POSITION: DENTAL ASSISTANT DEPARTMENT: DENTALSUPERVISOR: CHIEF DENTAL OFFICER STARTING SALARY: (RISES BASED UPON EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION)HS/HiSET: $17.00CERTIFICATE: $17.85ASSOCIATES: $18.74CLASSIFICATION: REGULAR, FULL-TIMEOPENING DATE: MARCH 3, 2023 CLOSING DATE: MARCH 16, 2023POSITION SUMMARY:Provides assistance to dental officers in the clinical treatment of patients.MAJOR DUTIES:Prepares dental materials and passes proper instruments to the dentist during treatment procedures.Primarily responsible for all sterilization of dental procedure bays, rooms, tools, and equipment.• Oversee cleanliness of the treatment room according to sterilization procedures.• Disinfect treatment rooms according to OSHA regulations.• Sterilize all instruments and handpieces according to OSHA regulations.• Keep trays, instruments and treatment room drawers organized.• Ensure that office sterilization procedures document is on display.• Implement the preventative maintenance/cleaning schedule for dental equipment.Inventories dental supplies and maintains established levels by requisitioning additional supplies when necessary.Relays to patient instructions from dentist for all types of post-treatment care, including specialized instructions for post surgery patients.Promptly send out and monitor all dental laboratory cases.Follow procedures according to office protocol.Other duties as assigned.THIS EMPLOYMENT ANNOUNCEMENT DOES NOT CONTAIN A COMPREHENSIVE DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES, DUTIES, OR RESPONSIBILITIES THAT ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION.
