The goal of the Montana 4-H Foundation is to help 4-H members by raising private funds, managing financial resources and partnering with Montana State University Extension to fund educational opportunities for Montana 4-H youth, volunteer leaders, and staff.
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain current and accurate financial records for the 4-H Foundation.
Provide regular financial reports and process distribution of funds.
Manage daily office operations.
Provide customer support to the public and county level administrative assistants in relation to the programs and operations of the 4-H Foundation.
Organize and coordinate logistics for 4-H Foundation meetings, programs, and functions.
Organize logistics of appeals and reports requested by the Executive Director.
Manage annual merchandise sales.
Supervise student workers.
Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
Knowledge of business management and operations.
Demonstrated competence organizing and prioritizing multiple work assignments, meeting deadlines, and exercising adaptability to changing priorities while maintaining a positive, effective, and professional attitude.
Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to self-correct.
Demonstrated competency with Microsoft Office software (or similar), especially Excel and Word, and ability to learn new software programs.
Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
Social Media and promotional experience.
Proficient with QuickBooks.
The Successful Candidate Will
Knowledge of accounting procedures and bookkeeping practices.
Knowledge of database systems.
Ability to accurately process financial information and to communicate orally or in writing with faculty, staff, and administrators.
Keep up to date on all upcoming 4-H activities and events in order to respond to questions and requests.
Ability to effectively communicate in written and oral format.
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
Ability to perform basic office functions.
Ability to grow in the position and enhance operational procedures.
Ability to maintain and improve customer service.
