Job Title: Registered Architect

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Licensed Architect to oversee and direct project teams from inception to completion. This role involves leading the architectural team and integrating engineering teams on projects of varying scale and budget. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of contract documents, specifications, shop-drawings, and submittal review, and will be responsible for leading project documentation efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project development and project teams from inception to completion.

  • Direct the architectural team and integrate engineering teams as necessary on projects of varying scale and budget.

  • Lead project documentation efforts with a deep knowledge of contract documents, specifications, shop-drawings, and submittal review.

  • Delegate, train, monitor progress and coordination, and conduct QA/QC.

  • Conduct construction observation and administration, understanding construction costs, budgeting, and value engineering.

  • Maintain collaborative working relationships and assist with the development of emerging professionals.

  • Manage technically complex projects with knowledge of applicable codes and standards.

  • Demonstrate excellent design skills and strong technical proficiency in platforms such as SketchUp, Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Organize and lead meetings involving internal and external clients/partners related to architectural development.

  • Review contractor questions and submittals to ensure compliance with design intent and solutions.

  • Conduct on-site observations and document site reviews, approving the quality of materials and work.

  • Process submittals/substitution requests during construction and address RFIs.

  • Potentially grow into a supervisory role, including training, assigning, and directing work, reviewing performance, rewarding and disciplining team members, and resolving problems in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.

Essential Skills

  • 10+ years of experience and recent experience managing federal government projects.

  • Licensed architect or accredited.

  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and architectural design.

  • BS Degree in Architecture.

  • Experience with federal government projects.

  • Knowledge of Bluebeam, construction documents, and design development.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • LEED accreditation.

  • Strong understanding of construction costs, budgeting, and value engineering.

  • Motivated and self-reliant with the ability to maintain collaborative working relationships.

  • Experience with technically complex projects and knowledge of applicable codes and standards.

  • Proficiency in design and technical skills, including experience with SketchUp, Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $120000.00
