Bilingual Concrete Foreman - $50/HR – Daily Per Diem
Job Description: We are seeking a strict Bilingual Concrete Foreman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in industrial concrete construction and the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Candidates should be computer literate, capable of drafting routine reports and correspondence, and able to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees. Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Owner/Customer Satisfaction: Deliver quality products that meet customer desires, specifications, and local regulations.
Crew Support: Transport trucks and trailers to job sites and deliver job materials.
Materials Management: Oversee job material supply and delivery, reduce waste, and procure occasional supplies. Manage trucks and tools within vehicles and the shop.
Owner/Office Support/Paperwork: Submit job worksheets for billing, conduct annual crew reviews, make staffing recommendations, manage and submit job paperwork daily, and turn in daily worksheets.
Time/Payroll Management: Review crew timesheets, ensure timely and accurate submission, pull time records, assign cost codes, and coordinate work schedules with the superintendent.
Mentoring: Educate and promote crew members, recognizing each employee’s potential.
Training: Train crew members to perform tasks efficiently, delegate tasks consistently, and build a cohesive team.
Coordination: Coordinate schedules and issues with the superintendent.
Scheduling: Pre-plan daily jobs and resources, including crew, builder coordination, layout, inspections, concrete, and pump. Adjust schedules as needed.
Study Plans: Review and study job site plans.
Leadership: Maintain a positive and upbeat attitude, reflecting in your crew.
Quality Assurance & Control: Ensure customer satisfaction and self-satisfaction through quality control.
Organization: Keep trucks and trailers organized, maintain inventory, and keep job sites orderly.
Problem Solving: Address technical, crew, logistical, customer, and other issues as they arise.
Stocking Trucks/Trailers: Keep trucks and trailers organized, stocked (including safety supplies), and ready for deployment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Required:
3+ years of supervisory experience on a concrete crew.
5+ years of concrete experience.
Fluency in both English and Spanish.
Preferred:
Team Player: Ability to communicate and work cooperatively with co-workers and follow instructions from supervisors.
Personal Motivation/Development: Good attitude, problem-solving skills, and commitment to self-improvement.
Technical Skills: Ability to read construction documents, including plans and specifications. Basic computer skills for email, web use, and coordination.
Customer Service: Strong people skills and ability to interact with customers and vendors.
Interpersonal Skills: Focus on solving conflicts, maintaining confidentiality, listening without interrupting, controlling emotions, and being open to new ideas.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
