Billings Clinic Clinic RN Employee Health - Bozeman N in Bozeman, Montana

Under the direction of the Manager and with protocols from the Medical Director, provides assessment for minor injuries/illness, basic health screenings, healthy life style education, consultation and improvement programs. In addition, triage and referral will be made when appropriate. Provides support for all Billings Clinic staff and employer contract services provided onsite at the employer's location.

Essential Job Functions
Supports and models behaviors consistent with the mission and philosophy of Billings Clinic and department/service.Conducts health screenings including but not limited to baseline health risk assessments, blood pressure, cardiac risks, and smoking history. Reviews with client current lifestyle risk behaviors and identifies behavior modification strategies where applicable. Conducts comprehensive nursing assessment and treatment of minor injuries/illness, demonstrating sound skills and judgment. This is accomplished through a personal visit or telephone consult. Documents in medical record and makes appropriate referrals as indicated. Refers clients with health problems/concerns to other health care providers, community resources, specialty clinic, and/or service agencies. Follows up with clients and documents any appropriate information in the medical record. Researches and provides health education and information to clients including preventive guidel ines recommended for age and general wellness instruction. Reports infectious diseases to the appropriate agencies as required by local, state and federal laws. Assists Manager in development of policies and procedures for the Employee Health. Utilizes performance improvement principles to assess and improve quality. Identifies need and sets goals for own growth and development; meets all mandatory organizational and departmental requirements. Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental and outside agency environmental, employee or patient safety standards relevant to job performance. Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
