Community Food Co-op Co-op Marketing Specialist in Bozeman, Montana

Purpose: Assist the Marketing Manager with marketing tasks that enhance brand visibility, engagement, and community partnerships. Focus areas include social media management, content creation, campaign implementation, and member relations.Specific Responsibilities of the Marketing SpecialistConfidentialityDue to the sensitive nature of the information dealt with, all financial or personnel-related information will be held in strictest confidence unless otherwise directed by the General Manager or Human Resources Manager.Social Media Management:Manage daily posts and engagement on social media and other web-based platforms.Develop and maintain a social media calendar aligned with ongoing promotions and campaigns.Monitor trends and audience engagement; propose strategy adjustments to optimize reach and impact.Identify and engage with local influencers to build partnerships that promote the Co-op's brand and products.Content Creation:Write high-quality blog posts on relevant topics that align with the Co-op's values and initiatives.Develop video content for social media platforms, showcasing products, store events, and community involvement.Coordinate or conduct photoshoots for social media, marketing materials, and in-store promotions, ensuring high-quality visual content.Create and distribute the weekly FoodENews, highlighting new products, sales, and relevant updates.Campaign Implementation:Assist with acquisition and retention campaigns as outlined by the Marketing Manager.Collaborate with the purchasing team to support sales promotions as directed.Create engaging graphics and copy for digital and in-store promotional materials.Develop and schedule email campaigns to promote products, events, and Co-op news.Support the marketing of in-store and community events, ensuring maximum exposure and participation.Track and record key analytics across digital platforms and campaigns and provide feedback to the Marketing Manager for improvement.Provide campaign metric reports to the Marketing Manager to inform strategy adjustments.Other:Serve as the primary contact for and respond to Co-op membership communications, collaborating with managers to ensure timely and effective engagement.Administer Co-op Enough Abundance to Share (EATS) program including applications, renewals, and discount management.Assist the Marketing Manager in maintaining relationships with local businesses, organizations, and non-profits.Assist with the design and update Co-op branded merchandise to reflect the brand's identity and appeal.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsExperience working in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field that demonstrates the ability or aptitude to successfully meet all expectations listed above.Experience managing social media and digital content on Facebook, Instagram, and Google My Business, required.Experience with graphic design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms required.Familiarity with data analytics tools, like Google Analytics, for tracking campaign performance required.Fluency using Microsoft Office is required, with skills sufficient to communicate, develop, and maintain documents with high accuracy.Excellent written and oral communication skills, writing and editing experience is preferred, and the ability to create compelling and engaging content.Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business; early morning, daytime, evening, holiday, and weekend shifts may be required.Ability to sit for long periods of time in front of a computer.Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. throughout shift, and occasionally up to 30 lbs.
