Concrete Finisher – $44/HR – Daily Per Diem
Job Description: We are seeking skilled Concrete Finishers to join our team. As a Concrete Finisher, you will assist the Finisher Foreman in directing and supervising the crew for all footings and foundation work. You will learn and refine your skills in placing and finishing slabs and architectural concrete. Responsibilities include setting string lines, forms, and establishing slab grade benchmarks. You will also develop the abilities of other crew members, run small jobs, and deliver high-quality products to our clients. Safety awareness for yourself and those around you is paramount.
Key Responsibilities:
Read plans and install forms, block outs, vapor barriers, and reinforcement per the drawings.
Supervise form setting and check for grade, plumb, and straightness.
Verify subgrade and ensure all thickened slab footings are accounted for and in place.
Set anchor bolt templates per shop drawings.
Layout rebar templates for all vertical bars.
Supervise the setting of grade pins and screed rails.
Supervise the setup of laser screeds, confirming and checking all benchmarks.
Establish grades and set up all types of residential concrete, including stoops and patios.
Supervise the placement and tying of reinforcement.
Form residential stoops and patios.
Form, place, and finish decorative concrete.
Establish grades and slopes per the drawings, set string lines, and benchmarks accordingly.
Determine appropriate measures for cold or hot weather conditions.
Stock trucks and trailers, keeping them organized, stocked (including safety supplies), and ready for deployment to job sites.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
3+ years of experience working on a concrete crew.
ACI Certification is a plus and would add $2-4 extra per hour.

Work Environment:
Work will be performed at construction sites, both indoors and outdoors.
Exposure to cold and hot conditions, including inclement weather.
Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.
Typical work hours are 10 or more hours a day, 50 or more hours a week, depending on work demands.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $44.00/hr.
