Brief Position Overview

Sports Facilities is looking for a part-time custodian to primarily operate the floor scrubber in order to clean the arena floor 2-3 nights per week.

  • Part-time employees work up to 16 hours a week, enjoy flexibility in their schedule and are eligible to receive holiday pay and annual & sick leave pay on a prorated basis.

    Position Details

    General Statement

    Sports Facilities (%20http://brickbreeden.com/) is responsible for the management of all sports facilities at Montana State University including the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse, Bobcat Stadium, Shroyer Gymnasium and the Bobcat Tennis Center. These facilities are multi-purpose and meet the varied needs of the campus and the community. The department provides services for Athletics, Campus Recreation, and Health and Human Development, as well as hosting many events/concerts that come to campus.

    Duties and Responsibilities

Custodians provide cleaning, sanitizing, and light maintenance service for MSU .

This part-time position (up to 16hours/week) will focus on operating the floor scrubber in order to clean the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse’s arena floor. The shift will be 2-3 nights per week.

  • Shift start time and nights of the week can be flexible to accommodate the employee’s schedule and the event schedule. Start time can fluctuate between 8pm-12am.

Other duties this position may be asked to do include:

  • Cleaning public areas (including restrooms)

  • Carpeted and hard-surface floor care

  • Trash removal

  • Other related cleaning/custodial duties

  • Actively contribute to the success of the department by performing other duties as needed in support of the department’s mission

    Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills

  • Experience working in custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, etc.

  • Experience working effectively with minimal or no supervision.

  • Experience providing excellent customer service.

    Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills

  • Experience operating floor scrubbers or similar janitorial equipment.

  • Certifications, classes completed, or knowledge of safety procedures utilized in a custodial, janitorial or housekeeping position.

  • We will work with your schedule:
