Insight Global Director of Epic Applications in Bozeman, Montana

Job Description

Insight Global is assisting a client in identifying a Director of Epic Applications for a direct hire role in Bozeman, MT. The position does require relocation; however the leadership team is comfortable with a hybrid schedule in the office. The System Director of Application Services provides leadership and direction to the Application Services staff, overseeing the design, development, implementation, and support of clinical and business information systems and software applications. This role includes managing the IT Project Management Office (PMO) and ensuring successful execution of application technology projects aligned with strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify capital needs and develop application rationalization initiatives for improved maintenance and support.

  • Participate in budget/forecast meetings and supervise projects within set timelines and budgets.

  • Strategize and plan for resource allocation, budget, and tools to deliver exceptional customer service.

  • Maintain an optimal applications operating environment in collaboration with the System Director Infrastructure & Technology.

  • Oversee the adoption and growth of clinical and business systems, including the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and third-party applications.

  • Manage Change Advisory Board, system upgrades, and updates, ensuring effective change management strategies.

  • Develop and maintain an IT EHR Governance structure and project submission process.

  • Implement transparency through resource management tools and project Gantt charts.

  • Support and maintain the Community Connect program and partnerships.

  • Serve as the main contact for vendor relationships, including contract negotiations.

  • Collaborate with application teams, business units, and leadership to execute application roadmap programs.

  • Stay updated on latest applications, software, and technologies for identifying new solutions.

  • Recommend and implement process improvements, including Clinical & Quality enhancements and Revenue Cycle Optimization.

  • Provide expert guidance on IT-related business, education, and clinical issues across the organization.

  • Contribute to the development of long-term vision and strategic plans aligned with organizational goals.

  • Direct the definition, development, and maintenance of applications systems supporting organizational objectives.

  • Coordinate integration activities and manage application portfolios and roadmaps.

  • Partner with external entities to ensure compliance with security standards.

Skills and Requirements

* 3+ years' experience of Director level in a hospital / healthcare environment

* Experience in Ambulatory modules / products

* Revenue Cycle (RCM) experience

* Strong leadership managing 50+ person staff * 3rd party applications

* Inpatient knowledge null
