Manage a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.
As a Director in the product development division, you will lead a team that defines product specifications and or strategy. Gather and analyze information to define product specifications and review design specifications. Envision and communicate product strategy and functionality. Initiate and foster relationships with other groups. Review product documentation and collateral. Ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities.
Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. The ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations is important. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development and product management. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 of software engineering or related experience preferred.

Director, Outbound Product Management NetSuite Financials
Do you have a passion for helping to drive product strategy and for communicating the exciting things we re doing on our development teams to internal and external stakeholders? Oracle NetSuite s ERP product team is seeking an outbound focused product manager to lead communications of our Financials product strategy.
Communicate our existing product capabilities, recently delivered features/benefits, and our product strategy and roadmap to internal and external audiences.
Work with our product teams by documenting high level requirements and workflows and by acting as a sounding board during the development process.
Develop product positioning and messaging for new features and products that communicates their benefits and highlights our differentiation.
Drive the go-to-market launch of new products, features and releases and manage cross-departmental communication and execution.
Contribute to user research and customer advisory activities by aligning with our XD and customer facing teams; provide this insight back to our development teams.
Do analysis of product and feature usage to determine root cause for any inconsistencies with usage and benefit expectations; provide this insight back to our development teams.
Contribute to product strategy by identifying product investment opportunities based on competitive analysis, customer interaction, internal stakeholder collaboration and any other means you see fit.
Collaborate with & leverage internal resources such as marketing, sales enablement teams, and analyst relations to drive market awareness and demand.
Serve as a Financials expert for our target markets (including prospects and competitors) and be able to identify, communicate, and drive our unique value proposition.
Support tactical engagements with customers, prospects, partners, and analysts as necessary. Be the voice and represent all the financials capabilities that we have and that we re investing in across our ERP product teams.
Align with the SuiteSuccess team to synchronize go-to-market plans with the product roadmap.
Drive the continuous update of demos with the Demo Excellence and SuiteSuccess teams.
7 years of software Product Management/Product Marketing/Product Strategy experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Prior experience with Financial applications is required.
CPA is preferred.
Working for an ERP software vendor is preferred.
Self-starter who demonstrates the ability to work independently and as part of a product team in a global, fast-paced environment; collaborating with groups of subject matter experts (SME s) from multiple disciplines and locations
College degree preferred; MBA is a plus.
