Costco Wholesale Front End Assistant in Bozeman, Montana
Position SummaryPacks member orders into boxes and transfers items to a separate cart for cashiers. Performs clean-up, cart retrieval,merchandise restocking and runs for items as directed. Provides a high level of member service.Job Duties/Essential FunctionsEssential Functions:· Greet members, helps members load order onto conveyor belt, determines member packing preferences, answers questions,relates information on special promotions, thanks members and provides prompt and courteous member service.· Packs member orders into boxes and loads to a separate cart or flatbed. Checks packaging for tampering. Follows all safetyand security procedures. Assists members loading orders into car when appropriate.· Runs for items such as merchandise, boxes, register supplies, and item numbers as requested by cashiers to keep linesmoving smoothly.· Transfers items not on belt to separate cart or flatbed as cashiers scan them. Follows proper departmental procedures forperformance of duties.· Maintains cleanliness of register area and general front end area. Cleans spills and trip hazards immediately.· Retrieves carts and flatbeds from parking area using a rope with clasping hook, pushing no more than 10 carts together.Keeps lot area free of debris and sweeps in front of building.· Performs set up and closing duties for the department, such as returning products, collecting paperwork, stocking registers,and cleaning area.· Ensures proper disposal of potentially hazardous materials.Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery· Carts, flatbeds, large wheeled bins, clasping cart ropes, rolling mop bucket with wringer, mop, broom.Non-Essential Functions:· Assists other departments of the warehouse as necessary.Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery· Click counter, 2-way radio, pallet jack, trash compactor, cardboard baler.Required:· Hazard Communication and JHA (initial assignment), Costco Hazardous Materials DOT Training Course: Part 1 (within 30 daysand then every year), Hazmat Universal Waste Training- Short Version (within 30 days and then every year), Option STOPTraining (within 30 days).· Must be current on annual safety training within 30 days of hire.Recommended:· High school diploma or GED.· Customer service skills preferred.Physical, mental and psychological demands and environmental conditions:· Apart from any religious or disability considerations, open availability is needed to meet the needs of the business.Apart from any religious or disability considerations, open availability is needed to meet the needs of the business.
