Stockman Bank of Montana GALLATIN VALLEY MARKET LEAD LOAN ASSISTANT in Bozeman, Montana
Position will be located within the Gallatin Valley Market with the exact location TBD (Belgrade, Bozeman Main, Bozeman Oak, Bozeman Kagy, or Manhattan location).
Position General Responsibilities:
Coordinate, oversee and supervise all loan processing-related functions within the Gallatin Valley and Dillon Markets. Train, educate, develop, mentor and guide loan assistants and loan clerks at the Kagy, Oak, Belgrade, Manhattan and Dillon branches. Develop and administer a formal loan assistant training program. Meet on a regular basis with branch loan assistants and loan clerks to communicate issues and changes. Serve as loan assistant for designated loan officers and be responsible for loan document preparation, recordation, and maintenance of credit files. Perform loan accounting administration and loan tickler management for designated loan officers.
Education, Experience and Certification Requirements

Basic Qualifications:
4-year college level course of study in Business Administration and/or financial institution or related field experience or equivalent training and/or experience.
Excellent customer service skills.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Must be able to work independently and to prioritize multiple tasks.
3-5 years previous loan processing experience.
Preferred:
Attention to Detail – ability to notice and correct errors, document and follow up on important details and provide a high-quality end-product.
Familiarity with legal contracts and the Uniform Commercial Code as related to lending and collateral perfection.
Professionalism – maintaining a professional attitude, image, and work ethic.
Understanding of and ability to work with Decision Pro and Laser Pro software with proper training.
Team Playing – willingly collaborating and cooperating with others, developing effective working relationships
Ability to remain focused and on task and efficiently work unsupervised, meeting all deadlines.
Written and verbal communication skills – ability to concisely and clearly present critical details.
Employees Supervised:
Assist designated branch management in the supervision of loan assistants and loan clerks. Branch management will have direct supervisory responsibility but will delegate specific loan, loan file, and processing and training supervisory oversight responsibility to this position.
