Bozeman Health Licensed Clinical Therapist- Behavioral Health (FT- .8 FTE) in Bozeman, Montana
Position Summary:
The Therapist provides outpatient counseling services to patients within the Bozeman Health system. As a mental health professional, this position plays a vital role in providing comprehensive mental health services and coordination of treatment with other members in the care system. This role receives referrals for individuals of all age groups from providers within the health system to provide individual and family therapy, case management services, referral, and follow-up to acute and chronic behavioral health concerns.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field
Licensed as an LCSW, LCPC, LMFT or licensure eligible in the state of Montana
American Heart Association BLS to be completed upon hire
Preferred 3-5 years of experience in the health care field.
Preferred: Relevant certifications
Essential Job Functions: In addition to the essential functions of the job listed below, employees must have on-time completion of all required education as assigned per DNV requirements, Bozeman Health policy, and other registry requirements.
Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine patients’ behavioral health needs.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with planning of frequency, intensity, and duration of individual, group, and family therapies.
Provide individual therapeutic sessions utilizing evidence-based treatment with the opportunity to create group therapy options if the need arises.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
Assess patient progress and modify treatment programs accordingly; communicates with and counsels family members as appropriate.
Provide crisis intervention in situations requiring immediate psychological treatment.
Document therapy in accordance with policies and procedures regarding medical records; implements and adheres to policies which ensure patient confidentiality.

Physical Requirements
Lifting, Pushing, and Pulling: Support 50 pounds of weight (patient, assist with bedside needs, etc.) Lift 50 pounds (pick up a child, transfer a patient, etc.) Carry equipment/supplies. Use upper body strength (CPR, physically restrain patient, etc.)
Extended Hours: The role may involve working for extended periods, requiring sitting, walking, or standing for eight or more hours daily.
Flexible Schedule: The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.
On-Call Availability: On-call work may be required to respond to organizational and patient needs promptly.
Effective Communication: Proficient in effective communication, both in person and through various technologies.
Handling Challenging Situations: The role may involve dealing with upset individuals, requiring the ability to de-escalate situations and work effectively with frustrated patients or families.
