Join us as the Natural Resources Market Group Leader (Market Director) to be part of this success.
POSITION
In this role, reporting to the Chief Client Services Officer, the senior-level director is responsible for leading the firm-wide Natural Resources group of approximately 20 personnel comprised of engineers, scientists, and CAD designers that focus on environmental assessments, hydraulic structures, waterways, irrigation, stormwater systems, and riparian restoration projects to name a few. The leader will be accountable for the group's strategy and performance and for growing and delivering services to our clients. These responsibilities include:
Develop and manage client relationships, including maintaining and enhancing existing connections, forging new ones, and securing profitable new projects.
Expand services in dam safety, hydraulics and hydrology, groundwater development, stormwater, environmental assessments and stream restoration in all company regions.
Create business development plans with Operations Managers, office site leadership, Client Service Managers, and Corporate Business Development aligned with the firm’s Strategic Plans.
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the natural resources market in all regions served by the firm.
Create strategies with office site leadership to meet annual sales targets, monitor business development efforts, and adjust to market conditions.
Review and approve the budget related to labor and expenses for market group activities, operating within that budget in collaboration with site leadership.
Coordinate with Operations Managers, other Business Group Leaders, and the Corporate Leadership Team to resolve business development issues affecting the market group.
Ensure technical performance of the group by supporting the process of attracting, developing, and retaining top talent.
Monitor Quality Assurance and Risk Management procedures for projects assigned to the market group.
Plan, organize, direct, and coordinate all the activities (administrative and technical) of the assigned market group.

YOUR STRENGTHS
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or the sciences related to natural resources
Minimum of 12 years of professional experience in delivering engineering consulting services within the Natural Resources industry or closely related field
Strong financial acumen with budgeting and financial performance
Proven client relationship and growth experience at the local, state and regional level
Strong communication, both verbal and written
Solid technical writing and public speaking abilities
Proven business development and client relationship skills
