General Statement

Gallatin College seeks qualified individuals to provide non-tenurable level instruction and/or curricula development.

Duties and Responsibilities

Gallatin College seeks Avionics Technicians to lead curricula development and/or teach in one or more of the following specialty areas:

  • Aviation Navigation Systems

  • Aviation System Interconnect

  • Flight Line Testing

  • FCC Regulations and Radio Theory

  • Advanced Wiring and Troubleshooting

    Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills

  • For all workforce programs: occupational experience in the field is required. Academic degrees or industry certifications may be required depending on the course.

  • Demonstrated experience working with and engaging diverse students and colleagues within and outside the department

    Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills

  • Prior teaching experience in a classroom setting

  • Certified instructor

  • Demonstrated commitment to student, faculty, and staff diversity

The Program

The Aviation Electronics Technology (Avionics) program teaches the theoretical and technical applications of avionics within the aviation industry. Through hands-on training with aircraft electronics and associated electrical equipment, students learn to test, troubleshoot, and repair components for communication, navigation, instrument and control systems. Graduates will be prepared to earn industry recognized certifications and work as technicians in the aircraft electronics maintenance and repair field.
