Bozeman Health Nurse Supervisor Inpatient - Emergency Department (FT - 1.0 FTE / Variable Shift) in Bozeman, Montana
In addition to required position summary, ED Clinical Supervisor will be responsible to help with process improvement initatives in collobration with RN staff, instruction and teaching and collobration with intraorganizational departments such as trauma, stroke, cardiac and sepsis committees. ED clinical supervisor works closely with ED Educator and will have adminstration duties as assigned.
Position Summary:
The Nurse Supervisor Inpatient - Emergency Department will work in collaboration with nursing leadership to develop and implement patient care policies to ensure they are based on evidence and/or best practice nursing standards and comply with regulatory requirements. As new nursing knowledge and innovations in practice advance, works to implement and monitor the application into practice. Ensures standardized implementation across their area of responsibility by working closely with the nurses. Coordinates the activities of the nursing staff, including appropriate staffing levels to ensure quality and safe patient centered care.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current Montana Licensure (Registered Nurse)
American Heart Association BLS
Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) within two years of hire
Two (2) years registered nursing experience
ACLS prior to end of orientation period
PALS or ENPC within 1 year of hire
TNCC within 1 year of hire
NIHSS within 6 months of hire
Preferred: Prior nursing supervisory experience
Preferred: Master of Science, Nursing (MSN) or Master’s degree in related field
