Bozeman Health NURSING SUPERVISOR EDUCATOR STAFFING POOL in Bozeman, Montana
Responsible for hiring clinical staff into the pool; facilitating onboarding; coordinating schedules on an ongoing basis; communicating with the appropriate managers and staff as needs arise; addressing issues and opportunities for improvement; and managing the team's overall effectiveness, assessing education needs of the nursing/clinical staff, implementing educational, orientation and competency program across the outpatient medical groups.

- Bachelor's and/or Nursing degree
LICENSURE and CERTIFICATION
- Montana Registered Nursing License
- Scheduling experience
Supervisory experience; also working more than 1 year within a health care setting, preferably in an ambulatory or outpatient clinic
KNOWLEDGE OF, SKILLS IN, ABILITY TO, COMPLEXITY AND DIFFICULY:
- Knowledge of personal computers, hardware and basic software programs including e-mail, word processing and spreadsheets
- Medical terminology
Prioritization of workload and ability to multi-task
Effective oral and written communication skills
Exceptional interpersonal communication skill with both internal and external customers
- Ability to manage conflict resolution

Work independently with a minimum of supervision
Direct self and work of other clinical staff & nursing staff with minimal direct supervision
Supervise staff in the delivery of prompt, safe, and quality care to clinic patients
Collaborate with clinic providers, clinic manager and staff to resolve patient needs and promote patient satisfaction
Direct staff to establish consistency in policy and operations across the clinic
Helps develop and establish clear policies and procedures that demonstrate compliance with regulatory agencies, including DNV and NCQA
Collaborates with other providers and healthcare entities in the community
COMPLEXITY AND DIFFICULTY:

Developes and implement educational/competency program for all clinical staff.
Promotes continuous improvement and education for staff.
Ensures Netlearning is completed.
Addresses performance issues.
Develop and coordiate orientation and preceptor process for all new clinical staff.
Works with the appropriate manager and/or staff person(s) to complete competencies whether upon hire, annually or clinic specific.
25% Time Spent -
Facilitates the posting of open casual call/float pool positions; participates in and coordinates interviews with candidates; involves the appropriate BDH staff in interviews; fosters a smooth onboarding process, including departmental training; and leads the offboarding process.
Works with Clinics to help establish workflows, policies & guidelines. Aids Clinics in verifying appropriate performance of staff.
20% Time Spent -
Coordinates scheduling of casual call clinical staff.
Works with clinic managers and other appropriate team members to optimize flexibility and assure effective communication.
Maintains a database or calendar, so others can access the schedule(s). Serves as a consultant to managers and others in order to maximize scheduling alternatives.
20% Time Spent -
Completes record keeping and reporting requirements accurately and within a timely fashion.
This includes obtaining and approving time off requests, overseeing KRONOS for the team; and working with Human Resources to make certain licensure and certifications are on file, current and up-to-date.
10% Time Spent -
Coordinates staff evaluations.

Performs additional tasks as requested by supervisor(s)
