Bozeman Health Professional Practice Evaluation (PPE) Specialist in Bozeman, Montana
Position Summary:
This position assumes responsibility for facilitating the Medical Staff Services objectives in alignment with organizational strategic planning and provides support to Medical Staff Service activities. Promote and maintain a systematic method to support all forms of Professional Practice Evaluation (PPE) in accordance with the medical staff bylaws and policies at a system level and meet DNV accreditation standards. Primary activities are focused toward the collection and compilation of medical staff performance measurement and improvement process data, organization of reappointment quality reviews and annual policy views. This position will be responsible for preparing Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE) Scorecards at initial appointment, for additional privileges, or clinical/behavioral concerns, and Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE) Scorecards at reappointment. Develop processes to keep all applicable parties informed of trends and outcomes, captures all documentation requirements according to policy, and ensures timely communication. Responsible for the management of the Clinical Professional Practice Evaluation or Peer Review. Collaborate and develop the Medical Staff peer review process with the Medical Staff Leadership, Quality and Safety, and System Manager. Provide backup for the other medical staff professionals within the department, as needed. Serve as a liaison to our employed and independent clinicians and engages in supporting the Bozeman Health Leadership to navigate the appropriate processes and meet our mission as an organization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Two (2) years of related experience in medical office or health care facility
Medical Staff Credentialing experience, familiar with FPPE/OPPE processes as they relate to credentialing
Essential Job Functions:
Facilitate the processes and procedures as outlined within the Medical Staff bylaws and policies for facilitating OPPE/FPPE
Management of the Clinical Professional Practice Evaluation or Peer Review process
Ensure regulatory compliance for the Medical Staff
Coordinate Program Development/Process Improvement initiatives
Maintain expertise in Medical Staff operations
Provide organizational support for the Medical Staff, Advanced Practice Clinicians, and medical leadership.
Lead department compliance with HIPAA privacy regulations
Support the Medical Staff Service position to prepare monthly credentialing applications for medical and advanced practice clinicians to ensure compliance with the System Credentials and Hearing Policy, Medical Staff Bylaws, and Rules and Regulations
Assist Quality, Credentials Committee Chair, and Credentials Reviewers with credentialing projects and other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

Flexible Schedule: The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.
On-Call Availability: On-call work may be required to respond promptly to organizational, patient, or employee needs.
