The Solutions Director role is part of the Snowflake Professional Services Team. Our purpose is to accelerate customer adoption and drive customer business objectives. We do this through a portfolio of services, delivered by world class consultants that leverage our leading practices, methodologies and tools.

The Solutions Director is responsible for the health and growth of the service offerings for Snowflake Professional Services and the coordinated global go-to-market strategy.

This leader develops the right offerings, formulates the pricing strategy, analyzes portfolio performance, and recommends improvements. Working with Professional Services leadership, Sellers and Delivery consultants you will maintain and build a thriving offering portfolio with a focus on customer success and driving healthy adoption. You will craft the positioning and messaging of offerings and ensure they are included in relevant marketing and enablement efforts across Snowflake. Attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits will be essential.

This is a highly influential, individual contributor role, reporting directly to the VP of Americas Professional Services.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Services product and programs: create, manage, and measure effective service offerings solving real customer problems in ways that drive product adoption, customer success and value realization.
  • Product lifecycle management: identify and intake new opportunities; build the business case; gather requirements as the advocate of the customer; help coordinate the standard bill of materials including scope and statement of work; refresh offerings bringing in efficiencies and driving costs down; and prioritize the roadmap for the portfolio with a 1-2-year vision.
  • Get results: take initiatives from conception to completion; tackle sophisticated problems in what can be at times an ambiguous environment; lead and influence cross functional teams; oversee portfolio offerings world-wide; provide insights and encourage standard methodologies; present strategy to key influencers and senior leadership.
  • Offering intelligence: become the authority on the buyers and users of your offerings. Use data (quantitative and qualitative) to form hypotheses and shape your portfolio strategy. Determine methodology for attributing product consumption to PS offerings.
  • Product expertise: understand deeply how Snowflake is sold, branded, and consumed by customers. Work with product teams, learn the product roadmap and how new features may impact your offerings.
  • Marketing support and sales enablement: partner with product marketing to develop customer programs and incentives. Influence and support sales enablement by communicating the value proposition of your services.
  • Work with Partner Account team to develop Partner strategies to co-deliver and scale services delivery of offerings and network with implementation partners
  • Work with the Professional Services teams to identify opportunities for new service offerings aligned with customer needs and define the value position, scope of services, and collateral for new offerings to present to leadership
  • Create and publish regular communication on the successful delivery of the offerings; harvest and promote both internal and external win stories
REQUIREMENTS :

On Day One We Will Expect You To Have:

  • Bachelor's degree, MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of professional services experience, including experience in senior leadership roles
  • Services portfolio / product management experience including product lifecycle management
  • Outstanding analytical abilities with a strong financial and business sense.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities tailored for different levels of the organization.
  • Proven leadership and management skills. Ability to plan, organize, negotiate, and establish priorities to achieve results. Rally local and remote teams around a vision.
  • Demonstrable track record of relevant accomplishments.
  • Self-motivated and well-organized; able to successfully manage multiple priorities and aggressive business goals.
  • High degree of intellectual curiosity and ability to learn and apply new concepts and technologies quickly.
  • Willing to travel up to 25%.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS :
  • Professional Services revenue and profitability of offerings
  • Achievement of KPIs for each offering and portfolio as a whole
  • Successful, just in time alignment of PS offering portfolio with Snowflake platform capabilities
  • PS offerings impact on Snowflake consumption revenue
  • Effective management of functional objectives

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:

  • The estimated base salary range for this role is $264,000 - $431,200.
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's bonus and equity plan.

The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location. This role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending & health savings account; at least 12 paid holidays; paid time off; parental leave; employee assistance program; and other company benefits.
