Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Seven years of project management, product design or related experience preferred.
This is a remote/office based position which may be performed anywhere in the United States except for within the state of Colorado.

The Technical Project Manager is part of the Overall Database Product Management team and helps to coordinate the different priorities and projects to ensure customer satisfaction through effective delivery of our software solutions. The Technical Project Manager’s responsibilities will extend throughout the life cycles of the different projects – analyzing external as well as internal requirements, establishing and maintaining project scope, internal team oversight, facilitating communications and accountability, and ensuring successful and on-time delivery. The TPM must be able to manage cross-functional teams from different Oracle departments and demonstrate diplomacy and the ability to manage demanding customers and deadlines. He or she must demonstrate leadership and motivational skills and mentor other members of the Oracle Database Development organizations.

Work alongside product management to plan, coordinate and monitor projects
Work within our Agile Scrum or Kanban frameworks, bringing in your own flare.

Always keep an eye out for continuous improvement and once identified, drive the improvement
Continually maintain project transparency
Recognize situational severity and know when to push for actionable next steps toward resolution
Lead regular status update meetings and keep people to their allocated time slots
Take meeting notes (attendees, items discussed, what changed, blockers, next steps, action items)
Work with cross-functional teams made up of diverse people with varied backgrounds, experiences and opinions
Juggle multiple projects with different sizes and timelines
Collaborate with other Project Managers to integrate planning and execution across teams
Develop team rapport in a remote work environment
Organize and maintain key project information

5 years of Project Management experience and street cred
Superior planning and organizational development skills
Superior communication skills with an ability to speak to all levels in your audience, diverse team members and varying disciplines
Excellent management skills to coordinate and communicate with various stakeholders within the company with the goal of creating visibility, harmony, and accountability across the team.
