Bozeman Health RESIDENT ASSOCIATE in Bozeman, Montana

  • POSITION DESCRIPTION

  • POSITION SUMMARY

  • To work as a team member with other Resident Associates, Resident Care Coordinators, Resident Services Supervisor and the Resident Services Director on the deliverance of resident care, in order to facilitate resident satisfaction, facility efficiency and provider productivity. The Resident Associates assists with the day to day needs of the residents related to comfort, mobility,medication assitance and ADLs . To promote safety assists residents with attendance at activities, appointments and meals. Help set up dinning area and serve meals to residents, families or guests.

  • REQUIREMENTS

  • EDUCATION

  • Required:

  • Preferred:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • LICENSURE and CERTIFICATION

  • Required:

    • AHA Heartsaver CPR or AHA BLS within 2 months of hire
  • AHA Basic First Aid training within 2 month of hire

  • ServSafe within 2 months of hire

  • Preferred:

  • EXPERIENCE

  • Required:

  • Preferred:

    • 1 year experience working as a aide or caregiver in a ALF, LTC, SNF or hospital
  • KNOWLEDGE OF, SKILLS IN, ABILITY TO, COMPLEXITY AND DIFFICULY:

  • Demonstrate communication skills in relating to residents, family and staff

  • ABILITY TO:

  • Demonstrates ability to collect accurate information about residents and report to supervisor

  • Able to provide medication assistance to residents under the direct supervsion of a licensed professional nurse

  • Demonstrates ability to implement care according to residents personalized care plan

  • Maintain flexabilty to adapt to a variety of work assignments

  • Demonstrates awareness of necessary safety precautions and infection prevention procedures

  • COMPLEXITY AND DIFFICULTY:

  • Complies with standards of the job description, policies and procedures and the philosophy of Hillcrest and BDHS

  • Maintains a responsible attitude toward BHDS and Hillcrest

  • Attend staff meetings and in services on a regular basis

  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • 20% Time Spent - Ability to collect accurate information about residents and document and report to supervisor

  • 10% Time Spent - Demonstrates the ability to be a team player and assists other Residents Associate as needed

  • 20% Time Spent - Provides medication assistance to residents under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse

  • 10% Time Spent - Demonstrate awareness of necessary safety precautions

  • 10% Time Spent - Demonstrate communication skills in relating to residents, families and staff

  • 20% Time Spent - Ability to give safe, comfortable and accurate care according to the individualized care plan

  • 5% Time Spent - Complies with policies and procedures of BDHS and Hillcrest Senior Living

  • 5% Time Spent - Maintains a responsible attitude towards BDHS and Hillcrest Senior Living
