We are seeking a Retention Marketing Manager to join our Outdoor Performance platform team. The Outdoor Performance strategic priorities are to be consumer-first focused, lead with power brands, and invest inwards. We will build the Outdoor Performance business by creating focus and power with the consumer. Our marketing structure delivers the necessary brand dedication and functional expertise to achieve our objectives.

As the Retention Marketing Manager you will design and manage a cohesive customer retention program which will include web-based loyalty initiatives, customer data platforms, digital direct marketing efforts, and collaborate in the success of print catalogs to current audiences.

As part of the Growth Marketing team, you will oversee the Retention Marketing arm of the team with 3-4 direct reports. This position will also be expected to collaborate on seasonal calendar planning across multiple brands to launch cross-channel campaigns.

This position reports to the Director of Growth Marketing and is a hybrid work schedule based out of our Bozeman, MT office or our Logan, UT office.

As the Retention Marketing Manager , you will have the opportunity to:

  • Create, drive and manage the day-to-day activities for customer retention and loyalty strategies across the Outdoor Performance platform.

  • Develop a retention marketing team thatexecutes all digital direct marketing strategies across the Outdoor Performance brands.

  • Lead a team of direct reports to strategize campaigns and automations that launch new products, tell brand stories, enable promotions and drive revenue.

  • Collaborate with the brand marketing teams by assisting with and providing input towards the development of campaigns that support brand and corporate goals.

  • Evaluate, operate, and manage cross-brand programs that drive DTC revenue through repeat purchase, lifetime value, andreturning customer rate.

  • Develop strategies to support online growth including new member acquisition and existing member engagement optimization.

  • Cultivate, manage, and contribute to the success of internal communications across all functional teams and relationships within digital marketing, IT, Finance, and brand teams invested in the loyalty and retention programs.

  • Segment and identify online consumers to increase the lifetime value of our brand's online customers.

  • Recommend promotions and strategies that drive loyalty program adoption by consumers and improve member engagement.

  • Leverage and negotiate terms with third party loyalty vendors

  • Utilize internal marketing/data platforms to identify audience segmentations and utilize for personalized retargeting efforts.

  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) both internally and externally for all aspects of loyalty and retention implementation.

  • Stay current on loyalty & retention tools as well as best practices.

  • Proactively problem-solve and enhance the user experience for each brand's implementation, so consumers have a consistent and rewarding experience resulting in enhanced LTV of our end consumers.

  • Work collaboratively with Marketing Analytics, Finance, and other development counterparts to forecast, manage, and analyze program performance metrics and to report on activities.

  • Assist, as needed, with broader digital marketing initiatives that help drive growth for the site and brands overall.

You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field.

  • 4+ years of experience with direct marketing, retention, direct response, sales management,or loyalty marketing.

  • At least one (1) year with broader digital marketing experience/ responsibilities.

  • Ability to establish and build business relationships with key stakeholders across organizations.

  • Manage and lead a team of individual contributors.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal).

  • Solid analytical skills and data-driven thinking (loyalty and campaign metrics).

  • In-depth understanding of multi-channel digital marketing eco-systems.

  • Up to date with the latest trends and standard methodologies in digital marketing automation, customer data management and loyalty.

  • Ability to utilize analytics, business and shopper insights to drive data-driven planning.

  • Managing multiple projects for multiple brands and priorities.

  • Proactive approach, ability to take ownership and make executive decisions.

  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in cross-functional environment.
