Bozeman Health Senior Accounting Supervisor in Bozeman, Montana
Position Summary:
The Senior Accounting Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the Bozeman Health financial system to ensure accurate transactions into the general ledger and performing monthly and annual close processes of the system. This position will perform or review journal entry postings and balance sheet reconciliations to support accurate financial reporting. Compile financial reporting to support internal and external regulatory reporting, surveys requests of financial information. Superuser of financial general ledger system as well as the budgeting and reporting system. Supports the budget process and ensures alignment with financial reporting structure and appropriate accounting. Helps prepare audit work papers. Supervises and reviews the work of the Accounting and Adjustment Clerks and develops the accounting function for continuous improvement and efficiencies.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5 years accounting experience
Preferred: Master’s in Accounting
Preferred: CPA
Preferred: 3 years of healthcare experience
Essential Job Functions:
Prepares journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
Prepare and assist with audit and budget workpapers
Supervise and review work of the accounting & adjustment clerks
Prepares annual surveys and other regulatory reporting
Responsible for monthly and annual financial system close

Self-directed, completes assignments accurately, thoroughly and with minimal oversight
Ability to work in a busy and stressful environment
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

Detail oriented, organizational skills and the ability to prioritize
Standard office equipment and computer applications; MS Office, EMR, internet applications etc.
Ability to work varied shifts
