Williams is hiring a Shop Laborer at our Plumbing Prefabrication Shop in Belgrade. This position gives you hands-on experience with assembling piping to ensure our plumbing and construction projects are completed accurately and in a timely manner. Previous manufacturing experience or shop floor experience is a plus!
What You'll Do:
Fabrication: Read and interpret fabrication spools, technical drawings, and specifications to determine fabrication requirements using a variety of tools, equipment, and machinery to shape, cut, and join components adhering to project timelines and production schedules, ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks.
Welding and Joining: Assemble fabricated parts using various joining techniques, including soldering, brazing, solvent welding, and fusion.
Quality Control: Inspect finished products meet the required specifications and quality standards. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Material Handling: Safely handle and transport fabricated components using appropriate lifting and moving equipment, ensuring proper storage and organization. Monitor inventory levels notifying supervisors when additional materials are needed. Load and unload trucks and haul and hoist materials, including operating a forklift.
Collaboration: Coordinate with other team members, including engineers, to discuss project requirements, improve fabrication processes troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth workflow.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery, handling materials, and performing fabrication tasks, maintaining a clean, hazard-free, and organized work area.
