State of Montana Administrative Officer - Southwest MT Veterans Home in Butte, Montana

The Southwest Montana Veterans Home provides nursing and long-term care for veterans in the state of Montana. There is a state service contract for the day-to-day operations and staffing of the facility. The Administrative Officer position provides leadership and direction for the facility, including oversight and supervision of the contracted nursing home administrator, contract compliance, clinical, quality, strategic planning, fiscal oversight, business and support services, and maintenance and security. The position will be an advocate for the veterans and/or their spouses and is responsible for ensuring compliance of the contractor for all provisions of the DPHHS service contract and the successful operation of nursing home. /This position may be eligible for partial telework within the state of Montana. What you can offer us * Knowledge of healthcare administration, including federal and state regulations * Knowledge of contract administration, quality control practices, and public relations * Ability to direct and coordinate the financial budget activities to fund operations and increase efficiency * Ability to manage multiple and competing high-profile sensitive or controversial issues * Knowledge of veterans benefits and veterans service organization * Knowledge pf Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) requirements for reimbursement * Knowledge of nursing home services and administration * Knowledge of Medicaid/Medicare licensing requirements and inspection criteria * Ability to confront policy, regulation violations with contractors, employees, volunteers, and residents * /Meet minimum qualifications:/ o /Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Human Services, Business, or another healthcare related field.
