Montana Technological University Assistant Professor of Practice-Mechanical Engineering in Butte, Montana
Job responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses/labs within the Mechanical Engineering Department. The person in this position will be expected to teach a wide range of engineering courses, including advanced mechanics, machine design, computer aided design, and heat transfer. The person may be required to teach other engineering courses and support laboratory operations depending on the needs of the department.Required Qualifications:•MS degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline•BS degree in an engineering field or Engineering Science•Excellent English written and oral communication skills•Demonstrated commitment to education•Significant industrial experience•Capability to obtain a Professional Engineering license in the United States within four years of hiringPreferred Qualifications:•A PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline•Previous collegiate teaching experience•Experience mentoring senior design students•Experience with ABET accreditation
