The Dev Ops Technologist will be a member of the Dev Ops and Analytics Team. This position requires innovative thinking, programming experience, analytical aptitude, and business acumen skills. The successful candidate will work in a team environment to support integration technology, enterprise application development, monitoring application, and other complex systems.

The successful candidate must be a self-starter who pursues self-education, is customer focused, supports the organization's goals, values and culture, and is willing to work extended hours as necessary. Participation in an on-call rotation schedule is required. In addition, the successful candidate is expected to travel with a laptop computer and other necessary peripherals. The expectation is that, if hired, the employee will take laptop home each night for system support and disaster recovery purposes.

  • Understand and execute principles, theories, concepts, and techniques related to Enterprise Data platforms, Windows Client/Server applications, Web Development and Enterprise application development

  • Support Monitoring application and administer Middleware/Enterprise Service Bus (ESB).

  • Development work is completed collaboratively using tools such as SAP ABAP workbench and other enterprise development tools, IIB Developer toolkit, and PowerShell script for administrative tasks

  • Prototype, evaluate, develop, test, deploy, and maintain applications, enhancements, interfaces, extracts, queries, reports, scripts, and programs in a multifaceted, integrated environment

  • Comply with coding standards and utilize common source code repository

  • Work with vendors and colleagues to research, plan, test, and implement patches, releases, and upgrades

  • Develop and maintain technical, process, and training documentation

  • Contribute to the development of new processes and resolve complex technical matters

  • Interact with stakeholders to identify problems, needs, opportunities for improvement, and functional requirements

  • Model the requirements in an organized manner; manage and communicate those requirements throughout the project or process improvement life cycle

  • Effectively and efficiently organize, plan, execute and coordinate multiple work assignments to meet project milestones or established completion dates

  • Utilize established project management documents such as scope, assumptions, risks

  • Firm understanding of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Work with other BT staff on projects and troubleshooting problems

  • Understanding of network infrastructure, including all layers of the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) Model

  • Undertake projects involving multiple disciplines that may impact multiple business units


  • Bachelor's degree from four-year accredited college in associated discipline such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Business and Information Technology. An equivalent combination of education and related experience may also be considered

  • Technical Experience and Skills

  • Experience with common programming languages

  • Working knowledge of common databases

  • Proficient using various project software tools such as Microsoft Project, Excel and Visio

  • Working knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Desktop Applications

  • Must be of the highest character

  • Lift up to 10 pounds and up to 40 pounds occasionally

  • Perform safe driving in varying conditions

  • Travel with a laptop computer and other necessary training peripherals

  • Take laptop home each night for disaster recovery purposes
