We are a joint venture between GE Aviation and SeaCast LLC producing tube and duct assemblies and small structural castings for aerospace and commercial applications. Job Summary:

Provide operational and facility support with a high level of attention to customer service. Work collectively with the Maintenance/Facilities and Operation teams to troubleshoot, repair, install, and proactively maintain plant and equipment electrical service and control systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide services ranging from electrical inspection, specification, installation, maintenance, and repair on a wide variety of specialized equipment and facility infrastructure

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical failures on motors, actuators, PLC’s, control systems, VFD and servo drives, induction furnaces, and other equipment.

  • Install conduit and run conductor

  • Assist the maintenance team with other tasks as needed.

    Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Possess 2-4 year technical degree or equivalent technical training.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical field with at least 3 years’ in an industrial / manufacturing setting.

  • Able to speak, read, write English.

  • Able to legally work in the United States.

    Desired Characteristics:

  • Journeyman Electrician

  • Strong and relevant experience specifying, building, installing, diagnosing, and repairing electrical service and controls.

  • Knowledge and ability to safely and efficiently perform all facility electrical tasks (switchgear operation, high voltage electrical, control system troubleshooting and repair).

  • Thorough understanding of industrial electronics.

  • Knowledge and ability to apply requirements of NEC and NFPA 70E.

  • Able to read and understand schematics, technical documents, and use diagnostic and troubleshooting equipment (e.g. digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes).

  • Possess a valid driver's license.

  • Self-starter with minimal supervision requirement; able to work independently; ability to prioritize, organize work, and meet deadlines.

  • Background demonstrating commitment to working safely.

  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills

  • Proficient computer user including MS Office programs

  • Capable of prioritizing and multi-tasking

  • Self-motivated and directed

  • Strong analytical abilities Identify problems, take initiative to eliminate those problems and maintain ownership through customer satisfaction.

  • Ability to interface effectively at all levels within the business as well as with organizations outside MPP (e.g. equipment manufacturers and technical resources)

  • Customer orientated mindset

    Work Environment:

  • May be exposed to noise, dust, fumes, airborne particles, smoke (Not over OSHA Permissible Exposure Levels).

  • Safety training and equipment are provided by MPP in accordance with applicable law, industry standards and company policy.

  • Occasionally lifts 25 – 45lbs.
