The Student Career Coordinator (ESC II) is a critical team member assisting in the delivery of career services that change the lives of students, alumni and employers. The range of dynamic services provided includes: individual career advising, workshops and presentations, career fairs and on-campus recruiting, and job search services.
Become part of an evolving team of career experts to impact student and alumni success. Develop and nurture student and alumni relationships; create, design, and manage the Internship/Experiential Learning Program; coordinate and facilitate professional engagement activities and events, work with wide variety of people on campus and in the community, as well as supervise student employees.
• Excellent customer service and relationship building skills
• Demonstrated ability to be attentive to detail
• Strong writing, verbal and analytical skills, public speaking and presentations skills
• Proficiency in the use of office computers and related software (MS Office); familiarity with social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn): ability to learn web-based software (Career Management Systems)
This position provides advice, counsel and information to students preparing to enter the workforce through individual appointments with students, presentations to classes, and career-related workshops; collect and process data, assist with the assimilation & dissemination internship/graduate survey reports. Contribute to the efficient operation of a busy on-campus office.
