NORTHWESTERN ENERGY Engineer in BUTTE, Montana

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil or relevant discipline preferred)
  • Ability to demonstrate and maintain a good safety record, positive safety attitude, and safety awareness
  • Detail orientated personality with situational awareness
  • Good organizational skills and have the ability to handle multiple conflicting tasks or projects and stressful situations
  • Excellent computer, communication and technical writing skills
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently in a team environment
  • Valid Montana Drivers License or the ability to obtain one
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Familiar with 49 Code of Federal Regulation related to gas part 192
  • Ability to spend time in an office environment with exposure to field environment, and project oversight during design and construction
  • Ability to spend job in both field and office with exposure to all field hazards and weather
  • Ability to lift and carry supplies up to 35 pounds
  • Ability to travel and extended hours may be required, up to 50% travel
  • Ability to pass an employment physical, a drug test and a background check
  • Five or more years of similar experience preferred
  • Ability and willingness to obtain a Professional Engineer's License in Montana is preferred

DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Provide engineering design, construction and project management support and subject matter consulting
  • Responsibility will be based upon experience and qualifications
  • Function as project engineer for natural gas facilities such as pipelines, measurement and regulation stations, compressor stations or gas treatment equipment
  • Perform economic evaluations, develop budget items and evaluate new products and services
  • Effectively communicate and coordinate with other functional areas to plan, budget and successfully execute projects and initiatives with expected outcomes
  • Ensure all materials and compliance related actions for projects are documented and retained as required
  • Adhere to company safety standards and the Code of Business Conduct & Ethics
  • Ensure all actions are consistent with NorthWestern Energy's values, mission, and strategic business objectives

Full-time position.

$62,900 - $135,200 annually, depending on experience.
