About this position:
The Gas Operations and Control Supervisor will manage gas transmission, production, and storage pipelines across Montana, South Dakota, and Canada. Their responsibilities include supervising gas controllers, coordinating their schedules, and ensuring compliance with Control Room Management (CRM) regulations.

About this job:
Demonstrate leadership consistent with NorthWestern Energy's code, values, policies, processes and controls
Utilize management practices to maintain employee engagement and productivity
Effectively manage budgets, ensuring proper cost controls
Lead special projects and apply change and project management techniques as required
Plan daily/weekly/monthly/seasonally system operations.
Assist in the creation of timelines for operation and maintenance tasks.
Supervise and schedule the activities of the IBEW Gas Operators in Gas Control.
Adhere to the requirements of Control Room Management including updates to the plan.
Assist management in Field Operations groups in Cut Bank, Havre, Mainline #3, and Dry Creek.
Assist in the Emergency Response Plan.
Assist in the development and maintenance of GTS operations procedures.
Be an active part of the GTS management team in all aspects of planning, operations, maintenance, and engineering.
Supervise and direct the work of others.
Complete other duties as assigned by supervision.
Travel up to 20%

Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent combination or education and experience in related field preferred
Supervisory experience preferred
Demonstrate and maintain a good safety record
Formal training in engineering or related field, equivalent to a four year degree or GTS operations experience
A thorough understanding of PHMSA, NEB and State pipeline regulations, standards and requirements
Communicate well, both written and verbal.
Strong experience or training in computer systems and skills, including Microsoft Office, Gas SCADA and database knowledge.
Accuracy and strong organizational skills are needed and the ability to work independently in a team environment
