DUTIES:

The Department of Computer Science at Montana Tech is seeking qualified applicants for a fulltime position at the Instructor level with expertise in software engineering and/or computer science starting in January 2023. Responsibilities include teaching software engineering and computer science at all undergraduate levels, and service to the department and college. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

M.S. in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, and/or a closely related field

REQUIRED SKILLS

Excellent oral and written communication

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior university level teaching experience

  • Experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • theory – discrete structures, programming languages, theory of computation

  • systems – embedded programming, computer architecture, operating systems, networking, web science

  • cybersecurity

  • data – mining, database, visualization, machine learning

  • software engineering – requirements and specifications, UI/UX, security, verification & validation, software architecture

  • advanced topics – artificial intelligence, simulation, scientific programming, graphics

  • System administration experience

  • Industry experience
