Intern - Business Technology Customer Solutions
Work Location : Butte, Montana
Pay range : $17.00 - $20.00/hour
Employment Status: Temporary (May through August, 2023)
(September - December, 2023 potential part time)

About this position:
Intern will be an instrumental part of the Business Technology team at NorthWestern Energy where the successful candidate with work directly with Customer Solutions Technologists to upgrade portal software utilizing best practices to facilitate the evolution of technology that touches both internal users and the greater customer base across our vast service territory.

Interact with stakeholders to identify problems and develop business requirements for solutions
Coordinate with other team members and business partners to analyze and resolve complex technical issues related to web systems, web forms, associated front-end development and systems integration.
Contribute to the development of new processes, new tools and enhanced usability of existing tools and systems
Seeks to understand and document functional and technical specifications and requirements
Participate in creating and maintaining process, training, technical documentation and standards and procedures related to the operations and maintenance of supported systems and applications
Work with vendors and colleagues to research, plan, test, and implement patches, releases, and upgrades

Information Technology (IT) or Computer Science (CS) related degree path required
Student must have completedSophomorelevel or higher by start date
Must be in good academic standing

Must possess strong customer service and computer technology problem resolution skills
Additional preferred qualifications beneficial to the position:
Familiar with front-end development and relation with back-end developers to optimize web tools and services
Knowledge of Adobe creative suite (Photoshop and Illustrator) or GIMP
Knowledge of content management systems
Experience or exposure to web services and support
Knowledge of Google Analytics or other web analytic tools for web optimization
Experience or knowledge with commonly-used web development and programming languages (e.g., HTML, Java, PHP, JSP, ASP.Net, VB.net, C#, Python, AJAX) is usefu
