Intern Compliance & System Integrity Engineer

Work Location : Butte, MT

Pay range : $20.00 per hour

Employment Status: Temporary (May - August full-time, 40 hours per week)

(September - December part-time, 20 hours per week)

About this position:

The Compliance & System Integrity Engineer Intern will regularly interact with Gas Transmission & Storage engineering, drafting, GIS and Operations groups. This role will be involved with MAOP project and plans, integrity program development, standard development, pipeline safety management system, welding program development, etc.

About this job:

  • Assist with the development of Maximum Allowable Operating Pressure (MAOP) projects and plans

  • Support the development and management of pipeline integrity programs and risk models

  • Participation in the management of the Pipeline Safety Management System (PSMS)

  • Assist with database development, management and tracking of compliance initiatives

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement to help build efficiencies into workflows

  • Aid in the development of welding programs

  • Assist with the management of Operator Qualification tracking and program

  • Participate in organizational work meetings

  • Travel up to 10% of the time is required, including field visits

  • Lifting of materials up to 35 pounds
