As a Linen Coordinator you need to know how to:
Accurately counts and orders inventory to all deliverable units, builds linen carts that reflect counts and distributes linen to deliverable unit.
Accurately weighs in and out all hospital owned linen, mops, etc. and records weights.
Delivers on demand requested linen as needed.
Assigns daily detailed shift work assignments with consideration for staff ability, patient need and department requirements.
Maintains consistent and quality work flow for departmental processes in the absence of a supervisor. Maintains close communication with supervisor regarding quality issues within the department.
May participate in human resource functions.
May participate in the interview process and provides feedback to leadership team on candidates.
Provides education/training and performance feedback for associates in the department.
Operates motor vehicle and complies with driver requirements as defined in SCL Health System's Driver Safety Policy.
