Duties:
Provide security of the campus buildings and grounds
Enforce the parking regulations of Montana Tech.
Allow access to campus buildings according to established regulations.
Respond to build alarms and open doors as directed by first responders.
Provide assistance to students, faculty, staff and visitors to campus.
Create incident and crime reports, as needed.
Report safety and security concerns to Security Supervisor.
Work various shifts, weekends, holidays.
Night Shift position working four nights a weekend from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am, Work days TBD.
Required Qualifications:
Be able to pass back ground checks and investigations.
Valid Montana Driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Successful candidate must complete the following within 60 days unless otherwise specified:
Be Certified in First Aid, CPR, and emergencies procedures training.
Licensed Security Guard through the Montana Department of Labor & Industry, Board of Private Security Patrolmen and Investigators.
Preferred Qualifications:
Security Experience
Montana Department of Labor and Industries Security Guard License.
Physical Demands
Must be able to safely lift up to 70 pounds, physical ability to walk a minimum of eight miles per shift in all type of weather or uneven terrain; continuously stand and bend through the eight hour shift; normal hearing and corrected to 20/20 vision; able to effectively deal with confrontational situations in stressful situations.
