We are a joint venture between GE Aviation and SeaCast LLC producing tube and duct assemblies and small structural castings for aerospace and commercial applications. What You'll Do:

  • We offer training for this job!

  • Work with stationary and hand-held grinders, grit blast cabinets, and hand gauges to remove surface defects

  • Follow written instructions, blueprints, and photographs

  • Learn methods used for polishing casting surfaces to remove high metal roughness, blend/remove defects, size and/or coin features to tolerance and inspect the effected area’s dimensions for conformance

  • Visually inspect castings for defects.

  • Train in using Magna Mic for inspecting wall thickness

  • Review router instruction and quantity for acceptance

  • Check dimensions to meet specifications.

  • Record data on travelers.

  • Provide preventive maintenance on equipment.

  • Adhere to schedule to meet manufacturing needs.

  • Respond to fluctuating workload.

  • Keep work area clean and free from debris.

  • Follow instructions and records information daily

  • Additional instructions as assigned.

    What We Look For:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Legal Authorization to work in the US

  • Must be able to read/write/speak English.

  • Normal depth perception

  • Mathematical and reading skills.

  • Ability to read blueprints, specifications, charts, tables and gauges

  • Good attention to detail and eye/hand coordination skills.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods

    Work Environment:

  • May be exposed to noise, dust, fumes, airborne particles, smoke (Not over OSHA Permissible Exposure Levels)

  • Safety training and equipment are provided by MPP in accordance with applicable law, industry standards and company policy

  • Occasionally lifts 25 – 45 lbs.

    Shift Information:

  • 1st: 6am to 4:30pm, Monday through Thursday

  • 2nd: 4:30pm - 3am, Monday through Thursday plus 10% shift differential!

  • 3rd: 6am-6:30pm, Friday, Saturday, Sunday 3 12-hour shifts, but paid for 40 hours!

    ** All new hires train on 1st shift and then transition to the shift they were hired for.
