Track Throws Coach/Assistant Facilities Manager

HPER/Pool/Athletics

Full-Time

DUTIES:

Manage day-to-day operation of the pool and assist with HPER Complex and Alumni Coliseum operations. Plan, develop, market and direct pool. Hiring, training, and scheduling of life guards. Coach throwing events for men’s and women’s indoor and outdoor track and field teams. Assist with athletic and campus events. Duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in aquatics or recreation facilities

  • Management experience

  • Ability to obtain Pool Operator Certification

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Experience in coaching throwing events in track and field or equivalent competitive experience

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Supervisory Skills

  • Background in recreation or athletics

  • Experience coaching throwing events at the college level

  • Current First Aid and CPR Certifications – Must be able to obtain within one year of hire

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds

  • Can demonstrate throwing of track and field elements
