State of Montana Treatment Technician - on call in Butte, Montana

* * The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Montana Chemical Dependency Center. The Montana Chemical Dependency Center is the only in-patient chemical dependency treatment center administered by the state. We serve individuals 18 and older who have been diagnosed as having an addiction to drugs or alcohol or who suffer from both addiction and mental disorders. Responsibilities of the Treatment Technician include: 1) Communicates with patients to understand needs and assists with activities of daily living; 2) Records patient data such as behavioral observations, vital signs, symptoms, etc.; and 3) Gathers information for patient admissions and inputs into the system. Qualifications for this Career Opportunity:* * * Ability to communicate information both orally and in writing. * Ability to make observations and report/ record them accurately. * Ability to follow oral and written instructions. * Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, maintaining them over time. * Ability to operate a personal computer and general Office Equipment as necessary to complete the essential functions including using spreadsheet, word processing, data base, e-mail, and other computer programs. * Meet minimum qualifications: o High school diploma or the equivalent o Two years of job-related experience working with people in healthcare setting. o Other combinations of related education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis. o Must have or willing to obtain prior to hire date a valid CPR/AED/FIRST AID certification card. * * * * How to Apply: To be considered for a DPHHS position, submit your application on the State of Montana Careers website.
