COWAN & SON Livestock/Ranch Worker in CHINOOK, Montana
Temporary full time position from 3/1/2024 to 10/31/2024 Worker will be required to perform a variety of duties related to the production of cattle. General Farm/Ranch Work will include the following responsibilities: trim and clear brush using chain saws and hand tools, hand stack debris for removal; maintain and make minor mechanical adjustments and repairs on farm/ranch machinery; may mix and/or spray chemicals (according to appropriate restrictive use laws, when/if applicable); remove undesirable and excess growth from pastures or farm/ranch grounds; paint/repair farm/ranch structures; replace/repair fencing; perform general cleanup of farm/ranch areas; operate all-terrain vehicle in the course of performing duties. Duties related to the production of Livestock will include the following: examine animals to determine delivery time, assist in delivery; feed/water livestock; load/unload feed trucks by hand; load/unload/stack baled hay by hand; manually clean/disinfect livestock corrals/stalls/sheds; dock, castrate, brand, clip/tag, vaccinate and clamp livestock.
