VIAD IT INFRASTURCTURE TEAM LEAD in Columbia Falls, Montana
Primary responsibility is to assist in leading a team of technicians and engineers to deliver on objectives, projects, and provide innovative IT improvements and solutions. This role will perform increasingly complex analysis, problem solving, implementation, and documentation. Role will Apply business and technical knowledge to develop and deliver innovative, value-added improvements. Translates IT strategies into tactical initiatives. The Team Lead will partner with the Manager to anticipate the needs of the team to maximize performance. Promotes a collaborative environment where team members are comfortable discussing ideas and issues. Trains and guides others in specific technologies. The Team Lead position will typically serve in a “player-coach” role and are actively involved on the team as a technical expert in delivering IT solutions.
Primary responsibility is the installation and day to day support of IT infrastructure & services for all GPC properties
Leads IT staff and implements IT projects & assignments on time and on budget
Provide mentorship and coaching for more junior IT staff
Partners with Manager to provide training to all end users for network compliance and use
Provides advanced level technical support for all IT issues and challenges
Provides general technical trouble shooting and consultation to teams
Maintains current systems; including hardware support, software support and applications of all systems
Partners with manager to administer and support the PBX in-house phone system
Performs other duties as required

Ideal Experience
Information Technology degree, diploma or related education, or demonstrate equivalent competencies
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressive, relevant information technology experience
Experience managing Microsoft Windows Server architectures
Experience in desktop computing, and applications specific to hospitality industry. IE: Maestro, Oracle Micros and Retail Pro
Effective working knowledge of networking technologies including but not limited to: Cisco, VLAN, VPN, SSL, Security Zoning, TCP/IP Routing (via EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, static & RIP) ACL, VoIP, and QoS
Skilled in solving complex problems and translating business requirements into technical solutions
Skilled in performing complex analysis
Skilled at working with and influencing teams to accomplish objectives
Demonstrates effective leadership and excellent organizational, technical and communication skills
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required
Positive team attitude required
Ability to provide quality services and support to business partners
Emphasis on sharing of knowledge through good communication, peer training and written documentation
Microsoft certifications preferred
ITIL certification preferred
Experience with industry compliance. IE: SOX, PCI, GDPR
Cisco certifications preferred
Microsoft SharePoint experience preferred
Avaya or other phone systems experience preferred
A valid US Driver license and US Passport required

Frequent travel to all GPC properties is required. Specifically, the Prince of Wales Hotel in Waterton, Alberta, Canada

Frequent standing, lying, bending, use of ladders, and the possibility of working in all weather conditions (rain, snow, extreme heat, extreme cold, etc.)
Frequent loading and unloading of equipment
Required to work long hours, evenings, weekends and holidays
Seasonal relocation may be required to East Glacier Park, Montana (May through Sept., and Columbia Falls, Montana Oct through Apr.)
