A People & Culture (P&C) Generalist wears a lot of hats. This job is fast-paced and never boring. Work includes a wide range of employment related functions and activities. From helping to attract, interview, and hire adventurous team members to spend a summer in Glacier National Park, to assisting with business processes and admin functions, the P&C Generalist is a key utility player for our team. The right P&C Generalist helps us coordinate and communicate with employees about their arrival, steps included in onboarding, hands-on processing of all employee-related info, and providing overall support across the year.

Coordinate Glacier Park Collection (GPC) staffing needs for multiple guest lodges with creativity and fun.
Focus on adding value so that staff wants to return season-after-season.
Supporting a great team is key – dives head-first into all HR support functions.
Coach our managers, supervisors and staff to navigate through P&C-related details as accurately as possible.
Help our teams connect with Pursuit’s Mission and Core Values and learn how we can each bring them to life every day.
Support Directors, Managers and Supervisors by assisting with screening and hiring decisions when asked.
Help us post any job openings quickly and ensure the application process is simple enough that it’s easy to understand.
Be sure to ask candidates “how did you hear about us?” and track responses.
Become a cheerleader for GPC and Pursuit, whether it’s in the office, at recruiting events, in career centers, or just every day working with our teams. Bring the wow!
Be mobile, willing and able to travel to different GPC locations when needed.
Make the arrival experience for new and returning staff fun and easy – not confusing and frustrating.
Think about any fun GPC and National Park trivia that might be interesting to staff.
Push paper quickly and make it right – making sure everything flows and mistakes are few and far between.
Assist with internal communications so everyone has the information they need.
Help with creating reward & recognition programs that make staff feel good.
Understand the GPC map – helping to organize projects that may come up in Columbia Falls, Whitefish, West Glacier, East Glacier Park or at the Prince of Wales Hotel in Canada.
Take the high road and bring energy when explaining the kind of dry stuff. Find ways to make rules, policies and regulations easy to digest and less boring.
Make “Please” and “Thanks” a big part of your vocabulary.

Have some experience in recruiting, hospitality or resorts.
Know a little bit (or a lot) about restaurant, hotel, travel, or tourism businesses.
Have some experience handling guest or staff challenges with creativity and humor.
Have some education in your tool belt – High School, College, or Technical training is helpful to prepare for this job.
Be organized and not scattered.
Be flexible and go with the flow -- curve balls will be coming your way.
Be clear and use your voice. Communicating verbally and in writing is a big part of this job.
Know how to use some office tools – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Skype, Social Media, and a few others may be part of this job.
Know how to handle private information – some things in P&C are really confidential.
Be prepared – this role requires legal ability to work in the United States.
Love travel – moving around GPC, including the occasional trip across the Canadian border will happen.
Hold a valid U.S. Passport and Standard Driver’s license.
