Planer Operator

We are looking for a safety conscience, reliable planer operator who thrives working around wood and understands the lumber industry. You would be working closely with the planer foreman, grade techs, shippers, and forklift operators.
Responsibilities:
Serve as Planer backup for other employees Trim end puller and pull chain operator Monitor sticker stacker machine Notify foreman of any quality problems and any mechanical or electrical problems Stack lumber and tally lumber units Fill out inventory tickets and edits computer generated inventory tickets Sort off-grade and damaged lumber Secure lumber units and paper wrap units Assist bander Clean and shovel snow under the planer infeed as needed Serve as the primary operator for the small forklift Maintain clean work area
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED, preferred Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen, required Knowledge of lumber quality and grades, preferred Experience operating machinery, preferred
Wage: Starting at $20.63 hour/DOE Shift: Monday - Thursday, 5:30am - 4:30pm
