Backslope Brewing Prep/Line Cook in Columbia Falls, Montana

Position Description: Line/Prep Cooks ensure the kitchen is fully stocked and ready for lunch and dinner service and can efficiently run a station throughout lunch and dinner service. This position requires safe and efficient knife skills, proficient understanding of food preparation, and the ability to take direction and complete tasks. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Provide excellent customer service and be friendly and engaging with customers. Create a warm environment so customers want to return. Practice proper hygiene, ensure food safety and sanitation by following all applicable standards. Be able to properly describe and answer questions menu items, including daily specials. Complete daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks according to schedules. Practice proper use of all equipment for your safety and to protect equipment (including knives, mixers, fryers, kegs, etc.). Practice safe knife skills, including proper posture, use proper knife for specific tasks, understand and use knife steel properly, and be able to follow instructions for proper cuts (dice, chop, slice, etc.) Be familiar with the flow of a kitchen and recognize the importance of timing, presentation, and quality when completing ticket orders. Understand and properly use three compartment sink and dishwasher and complete dishwashing tasks as assigned. Must be able to read, understand and follow recipes. Fill all scheduled shifts or arrange for a co-worker to fill that shift with manager approval. Work collaboratively with all staff and maintain respectful communication at all times. Communicate with supervisor regarding any concerns. Essential Qualifications Must be able to lift (on own) at least 40\# Must be able to participate in safely lifting and moving a full keg (160 lbs)
