Weyerhaeuser is seeking individuals who are committed to safety, have a positive attitude, excellent work ethic and a desire to work in a manufacturing facility. Weyerhaeuser’s Montana Wood Products is currently looking to fill Schelling Forklift positions at our Columbia Falls MDF facility.

Key Functions
- Support manufacturing by operating a forklift to maintain a steady flow of units from the Schelling Saws at full production pace and to customer specifications
- Is responsible for knowing panel grades, stamps and flows
- Learn the duties of the Schelling Saw Operators, and Banders; to provide backup support when needed
- Operate, service and maintain equipment; including but not limited to performing pre-shift forklift inspection.
- Complete paperwork in an accurate and legible manner, including completion of move orders, and handling of retests
Requirements
- Forklift Certification required
Specific Skills
- Conduct daily inspections of all equipment
- Knowledge of panels grades, stamps and flows to maintain the flow and organization of product through the Schelling Saws.
- Ability to maintain the flow of units through the Schelling Saws at full production (capacity) and to customer specifications
- Ability to operate, service and maintain equipment; included but not limited to a forklift
- Ability to maximize packaging of product and minimize loss to the company
- Ability to work with little direct supervision and be self-motivated
- Ability to work closely with others; be a team player/leader; demonstrate good communication skills, and a positive attitude
- Knowledge and willingness to use safety standards of forklift operation, use lockout procedures and wear necessary PPE
- Ability to maintain a clean workstation, and exhibit good performance, safety and attendance records
- Willingness to work any shift, work on short notice, work overtime, weekends and holidays when needed
Physical Demands
- Ability to sit and drive forklift on a frequent basis; frequently reach and grasp; climb on/off forklift, and occasionally lift/carry up to 50lbs
- Must have good sight in all parameters of vision
